Of course, I already finished my study of the Professional ASP.NET 3.5 Book and posted a sub-web on my computer, showing all the pages I created with this study. Then, as I plunged myself into the world of so-called starter kits on the ASP site, I was completely surprised with the complicated structures of the current starter-kits. My current Web site was created by modifying a starter-kit five years ago, and it was quite simple to understand its structure and make necessary modifications to fit my purpose. In the meantime, the Web application technique has advanced so much so that all I can possible do is to create a new theme section and add some extension classes to it, forgetting about any modification to the kit itself.
Along with the Web technology, the Internet has been speeding up and changing rapidly. People are flocking around innovative services utilizing new technology such as YouTube (Video service) or Facebook (Social Networking). These new services gather people by offering useful services free of charge and earning billions of dollars through Web advertising. Blogs are now getting inter-connected more and more by Track-Back or Pin-Back and popular sites seem to be getting advertising income. I will have to study these new situations surrounding the current Internet communities, in order to plan the new Web site that will be useful to the people accessing my site.
