My Master’s daughter also joined us, taking a day off from her work. 12 years ago, while she lived in my master’s house, she brought me to our house from a remote animal clinic where I had been deserted from my former owner. After she left our house to live in an apartment, she still comes every Sunday to walk with us and takes me to her apartment to give me a bath once a month. I do not like this monthly clean-up but they think this is necessary. Today, we first went to the Central Park around the Conservatory garden and walked for about an hour. It is not required in the Central Park to keep dogs on leash until 9am in the morning and many dogs are running freely in the Park. One big black dog came along to me and we started running together. This is something that would never happen in the Saddle River Park in New Jersey. After the walk, we enjoyed the beautiful autumn flowers in the Conservatory Garden, where my master took a picture of me with his daughter.
Then, they took me into the building which I thought was a hotel. But when I was lead into the waiting room with a lot of dogs, I immediately realized it was an animal hospital and I started to shake. After waiting for a while, we rode the elevator up to the 8th floor where Oncology department is located. There I was examined by Dr.Arteoga and Dr.Leibman. According to Dr. Leibman, they are going to request the slide of my surgery to review whether the cancerous cells were completely removed or not. If they should not be removed completely, re-surgery or chemotherapy would be necessary. For now, I received the X-ray re-examination of the neck and the lung.
As no metastases are found, I was given the DNA vaccination on the left hind-leg by Vitajet. During the chest examination, they found one spot of concern but they think this is the calcinosis common to old dogs and not a metastasis. However, they will check this spot in one month to make sure. Thus, my therapy ended in 3 hours. They will know the result of the slide review by my next visit. As I came home after the therapy, I felt quite healthy and had a good appetite as normal.
