About Coty – Trade mark dog shown above

Hello! I‘m Coty, a Collie Shepard mixed male dog born in November 1991. I weigh 37 lbs and they say I am in a great shape for my age. However, recently I was struck with two mishaps. During this last summer, I was hit with the vestibular disease and could not walk. Now, I've got a tumor on the upper right gum of my mouth, and I decided to start my blog.

My Love! Love! Coty! After 5 years, your loving memory continues to live with us. When we come to some place, where we had been to with you, we say, for example, “Here, Coty got a hotdog from a stranger.”

My Love! Love! Coty! This would have been your 19th birthday. Already 5 years have passed since we celebrated your 14th birthday, which was right after your mouth operation. From that time until you finally surrendered to the horrible melanoma tumor, we spent together the most memorable period of 7 months with you. We really cherish it with the loving memory of yours.

My Love! Love! Coty! Already 4 years have passed by from the time when your body departed from us. However, you are still living with us, reminding us of many lovely memories of yours. Of course, I am still walking on the familiar paths everyday with your bags on my shoulder. When there is nobody around me, I call out Coty as if to call you back from the water or the woods.

My Love! Love! Coty! Today is the 3rd Anniversary of your passing away. I am still walking everyday, carrying your back and remembering many sweet memories of yours. Especially, I cannot forget how you walked with me and jumped into the water until one day before you had finally had to surrender to the terrible disease of cancer.

My Love! Love! Coty! Here I am talking to you again. My wife is in Tokyo with my son’s family and my daughter, your favorite girl, and her boy friend, Chris, are staying with me. Last night, they invited their friends for dinner and had to stay up until very late at night, so they are still sleeping. As I do not want to wake them up, I am keeping myself quiet, searching your old pictures and writing this blog to you.

My Love! Love! Coty! Sorry for not talking to you for a long time. However, just as before, not a day has gone by without viewing your blogs and walking with your bag along those paths where I used to walk with you.

My Love! Love! Coty! Today would be your 15th birthday, had you been still alive. If we had known what we know now and had treated your cancer successfully, you would be celebrating your birthday alive. We are now looking back over the last one year and disclose where we failed. Hopefully, any master of an old dog like you will learn by reading this blog and do not repeat the same mistake with his dog as we did with you.

Coty Lesson 1 – Old dogs are likely to get Cancers –
