At least twice a week, my master and his wife used to lift up my right lip and check the inside, and his daughter used to take pictures of my tumor every week. Well, when he attempted to check my tumor this week, I felt a severe pain and whined. Ever since that time, they have stopped lifting up my right lip. Except for this change, I have continued to eat well and walk or dip in the water as before. I should like to show you where I have been to for my walks. [April 23 Sunday]: Heavy rain and I walked in the garage area under City Center. When the rain cleared up, I walked one complete round along the North Hudson Park Pond. [April 24 Monday]: I walked both in Abbott Blvd. and Hudson River Walkway. [April 25 Tuesday]: At Demarest Nature Center, I strolled in the woods about one hour, while my master and his wife looked for some grasses. [April 26 Wednesday]: At Saddle River Park, I walked my usual back route along the river. After the walk, my master drove to Pine Hill restaurant near Route 4 and while waiting for the lunch time, I walked in the field behind the restaurant along the river. My picture above was taken at that time. [April 27 Thursday]: My master drove to the Glenwood parking area of Saddle River Park and I made a complete one round in the back field surrounding the pond. I ended up my walk by dipping into the river water. After the walk, my master drove us to Ridgewood for lunch. [April 28 Friday]: At Demarest Nature Center, I walked along the usual route. My master found a family of owls (mother and two children) high up on a tree and his wife took some pictures of them. As we rested on the lawn outside of the town pool, I ate my lunch in a shadow of a tree. [April 29 Saturday]: At Saddle River Park, I walked my usual back route along the river. Then, my master and his wife ate their sandwiches at one of the benches near the parking lot in front of the maintenance office. I lied down in the shadow under the bench and also ate my lunch box.
[April 30 Sunday]: I walked along a shady path behind North Hudson Park Pond. During the walk, my mistress saw new born babies of Canadian guises and walked towards the pond to take their pictures, while my master’s daughter felt sick of tree pollen and went back to the car. After the walk, my master drove to Hoboken, where they ate Sunday brunches sitting at the outdoor table of a busy French bistro, while I lied down under the table and slept. [Evening Walks]: I walked every day in the nearby Abbott Blvd. before my dinner. [My daily food]: Here is the list of my daily food that I have been eating; ground gizzard and sliced franc steak (these two are especially cooked for me by my mistress adding garlic and sake), juicy meat from the roasted country chicken, Fancy Feast cans of various meats in gravy (cat food!!), dry food in small grains (for cat!!), Alpo variety snaps (thin treats that I like very much, this is for dogs!), meal bon castell from Gateau bakery, Beef from Korean Kalbi box and Kalbi Tang soup. [Event on Sunday evening]: There was a pleasant surprise this evening. Mr. and Mrs. Nozaki (the parents of the old cat, Momochan, whom I met last autumn) dropped in our house to see me. Mrs. Nozaki encouraged me to try hard to live on despite the tumor. Thanks to her encouragement, I ate all I had left untouched from my lunch right after their visit. [Description of Coty’s tumor - April 30 2006]: Coty’s tumor continues to grow bigger. We can no longer conduct our routine check and picture taking of his tumor, as he began to whine about three days ago when we tried to lift up his right lip. We can now observe a part of his dog tooth as well as the rotten convex surface of his tumor without raising his lip. The bump outside of his mouth grew closer to his eye and is now about 5 cm long. Since a week ago, he has been discharging secretion continuously from his eye on the tumor side. We are wiping away the pus-like material below his eye regularly. He continues to discharge pus from his mouth and we always put paper towel below his mouth when he lies down. We rolled up all carpets on our floor two weeks ago.
